Little Newspaper Man
While we were at UGA I picked up a Red & Black for your daddy's newspaper class. I decided to let you look at the newspaper while lying on a couch in the Tate Center, which is a common UGA student activity. You seemed very interested in the paper. Seeing you looking at it reminded me of a picture your Granny Stroud has of your daddy with newspapers. I hope you end up liking journalism a much as your daddy does!

Alli's Birthday
You went to your cousin Alli's first birthday party yesterday. You are still wary of her. She's a little loud for you at this time and you really don't like sudden loud noises right now. I think once you get a little older she will be one of your favorite playmates. She will get a little quieter and you will grow to like loud noises. You'll meet in the middle. You two are only about seven months apart, but I think Alli will end up being a grade ahead of you when you both start school.

Joel Babble
I recorded some of your babbling.
You sound so adorable! I need to record you some more. I had to record you for over four minutes to get that small bit of uninterrupted babble! You would talk and talk and talk when I wasn't recording, but as soon as I started recording you shut up. You are definitely your daddy's son!

Pants-head Joel
Oh Joel, what's your daddy doing to you? We had such a good laugh looking at you with your pants on your head. You looked like a little emperor or something.
Do you realize your head is the same size as your waist? I've always said you have a big head like your daddy!
I think what was most funny was the serious look you had on your face even with your pants on your head. Well, you're only a baby once! Or maybe that should be we're only parents to baby Joel once. Anyway, you gave us a good laugh.
