How has this course enhanced your knowledge, skills, and disposition as it relates to photography and its use in the schools?
This course has enhanced my ability to take photographs without having to rely on “automatic” settings. I now am able to adjust shutter speed and aperture. I have also learned a great deal about photo composition, which was a weakness for me in the past.
I have become almost exclusively a digital photographer, but I have enjoyed learning about 35mm photography and developing my own prints.
I believe I will be able to better prepare my journalism students to practice photojournalism skills. I also look forward to employing digital cameras in my English classes as I look to include more opportunities for differentiated learning.
